Lockheed Martin Sippican’s Sea-Air Systems Division has over 40 years of experience related to the development and production of specialized instrumentation for use in harsh environments. Unique technology niches include high performance affordable "one shot" expendable instruments to measure environmental parameters ranging from the deep ocean, through the air-sea interface and up into the stratosphere; as well as low frequency and multi-band communication systems deployed on U.S. and foreign submarines. We also produce high precision electro-mechanical safe-and-arm devices.
The Division has many specialty test facilities including a 40-foot test tank, numerous environmental test chambers, RF antenna ranges, and two levels of clean room manufacture. Sea-Air Systems also operates a wholly owned subsidiary in Juarez, Mexico where we employ 150 personnel for the production of low cost/high volume instrumentation.
